We had an 80 degree day this last weekend so we set up the trampoline that mom and dad bought for Jack's birthday last year. It was a nightmare to put up! Luckily after doing it a few times now I think we will be pros when it comes time to put it up again next year. The kids absolutely love it!
Yesterday while playing on the trampoline I overheard this conversation between the two of them..
Lydia: Jack will you marry me when we grow up?
Jack: ....(thinking)....yes, when I grow up!
Lydia: ((jumps up and kisses jack on the cheek))
Lydia: Yay!!! This is the best day ever!
It was hilarious! LOL :)
We are going to host a Easter brunch at our house this year for my family. Something we have never done. I am excited! Everyone is going to bring a breakfast type dish. I am making Belgium waffles with fruit and cream and little yogurt and granola parfait shooters and we will start that at 10am on Sunday. Friday we go to Ryan's families to do an egg hunt and cupcake decorating with all the cousins on that side of the family. Saturday is Jack's birthday party! It is a construction pals birthday theme and we are going to have burgers and brawts with chips and some side salads for everyone to eat. I'm so bummed that the weather isn't suppose to be great. I hope the forecast proves to be wrong. We wanted to do an egg hunt for Shelby, Lydia and Jack in our yard on Sunday.
Here are some new photos. Enjoy!

Welcome March
We celebrated Lydia's birthday on February 11th this year with a Disney Princess party. We played some dancing games, a pull string pinata and pin the kiss on the frog. :) Lydia had a great time and got lots of really nice gifts from all her family and friends. Here are some pictures Ryan took for us of her big day! :)
Ryan also celebrated his 29th birthday this last week. His birthday was on a weekday so the kids and I decorated the house to surprise him when he got home from work. We got Daddy some new shirts. :)
I also had a wonderful birthday! My family really spoiled me and made me feel so special! My parents got me some awesome running gear and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Ryan bought me some Photoshop Actions and a plugin that I had really been wanting. I love them!
We are getting ready to plan Jack's big 2nd birthday coming up next month. Ryan wants to pick a theme and plan it, I think it should be a fun project for him.
Our newest nephew was born on leap year day! Miranda had a great pregnancy and labor and baby Blake is healthy as can be! Just adorable too. :)
Valentines we made as a family. :) Chocolate dipped nutter butters with stripe colored decoration!
We took a fun family trip to Spearfish last weekend, the kids had a blast at the park. I took a few pictures on my iphone.
Some of my favorite photos this last month.
Lydia's birth day treats, Pinkalicious Pink Lemonade Cookies :)

New Beginnings
This week was Ryan's first week at his new job. It has brought about a lot of changes to our family but I think they will be good ones. Ryan was able to get a truck to use and take home, its a little silver 4 door v8 Dodge truck. So now the kids and I have our family vehicle to ourselves all day. It has been so nice to be able to go visiting, go to town or run work errands during the day instead of having to do all of it at night since that is when Ryan would be home from work with the car.
Ryan's new job has him up at 5am, leaving the house at 6am and getting home at 6:30pm, so it's quite a bit different than what his regular work schedule has been the last 6 years. It is about an hour drive to and from his new job. His schedule gives him Friday-Sunday off but he thinks he will need to work Fridays for awhile as mandatory overtime to get things up to speed. Normally the kids go to bed at 9 and we go to bed at 10 but we are trying to make a transition to kids at 8, us at 9 since our days will start earlier now. I have dinner on the table at 6:30 when he gets home then it's get ready for bedtime. When the kids go to bed at 8, I work out. I was going to try to workout in the morning after Ryan leaves and before the kids wake up but after talking with Ryan neither of us were entirely comfortable with that since I will be in the basement and I workout with ear buds. I wouldn't be able to hear them if the kids got into trouble or started crying.
I am in my 4th week of 5k training. It is going well and I am really surprised at how fast our bodies can adapt to the stresses put on them. I never thought when I started I could run as long as I am now. I have a long way to go but its encouraging to see the increase in stamina and the changes my body is making! I really look forward to my workouts during the week, and it feels great afterward.
I have been trying to get Lydia's 4th birthday planned out. I have the date and time and theme decided. She wanted Disney Princess. I have the invitations ready to mail out but I'm still working on coming up with some fun games and also deciding on the cake. I am not sure if I will go fancy like we have in the past or just do a cute wal-mart cake. I think we will look at the cakes they have in the book at walmart when we go there today and see if Lydia falls in love with anything. Jack is going to have a construction trucks party for his birthday. He is so in love with all things truck right now!
Speaking of Jack, his speech is just amazing me. Everyday he says more and more and he is starting to take in sentences regularly. I love it when he jabbers on and then pauses to say "sooo" just like his sister. LOL :)
He is doing so good with his letters and numbers. We have the letter magnets on the fridge and he can seriously almost name every single one when you show him a letter! He also can recognize and say the numbers 1-10! We are so proud of him! I am thinking we may venture into potty training sometime soon. He now tells me when he has to poop and immediate after he has so I think it may be a good time to just at least introduce the potty. I predict we will be seeing a lot of his naked butt running around the house in the near future once we start. Ha! I hope we don't have a ton of accidents! He has never once peed while I change his diaper, NEVER since birth! Isn't that crazy? So maybe, maybe! He will be better about holding it until he can get to the potty when he feels that he doesn't have a diaper on? I mom can hope right? :) Jack is going in for a hair cut this Thursday with Gina! Yay! This will be his 5th cut! His hair grows so fast, like his daddys.
Lydia is growing so quickly and already her pants I bought her 2 months ago are seemingly too short. She is definitely in a full 4T now. 3Ts just aren't cutting it anymore. I need to get her some bigger leotards for gymnastics as well, they are getting way too tight for her. Her preschool registration is coming up in March. Hopefully we will be able to get her in no problem. It fills up pretty fast I have heard so I will have to be on top of it when they open. Lydia is such a social butterfly I think she will really love the the interaction with kids her age. I took the kids to the library yesterday and she was chatting with all the kids telling them her name and about her family. It was so cute? She asked this little girl, "do you know my daddy named Ryan?!" Then she pointed to me and said "That's my mommy!" And she likes to show off Jack too and make sure everyone knows his name and how old he is. It's so adorable. She played candy land with the other kids at the library and had a ball. :) Now that we have the car we will be going there much more often. I'll have to get the schedule for story time and take them then.
I'm taking Photoshop 101 right now, I just started the 2nd week and it is so awesome. I am really loving this course! I did know a lot of the basics of Photoshop prior, but this class has already filled in a lot of gaps for me and gave me a very good foundational knowledge of the software. Now I am itching to take Photoshop 201 next month however that class is $300! So I am still undecided. I might have to wait on it. My birthday is this weekend -28 on the 28th! My golden birthday! :) No plans, I just asked Ryan to make me an organic prime rib and salad. My brother made one for my moms birthday a few weeks ago and it was to die for! Now I am craving it! Plus its something that goes with my diet so I don't have to sacrifice that. I'd like to maybe go to a movie, we will have to see if we can have someone watch the kids while we go out and do that.
Here are just a few newer pictures from this month. Take Care!
