10 Months & 3 Years!

Jack turned 10 months on Tuesday of this week and Lydia will turn 3 years old on Saturday.  Her birthday party will be tomorrow from 6-8pm and we are having it at our new house.  She is so excited!  Mom came over last weekend to help making bean bags and some other things we needed for the games for the party.  I think we have everything all set and ready to go, just have to start decorating tomorrow.  Her cake will be delivered at 3pm tomorrow, the pizza's from Chicago came in this morning.

Jack now weighs 17lbs 5.5oz.  Just a small gain from last month.  He is now waving high and can point to the light in a room when asked.  He still just says Mama and sometimes Dada but not much more than that right now.

Both kids are really enjoying their new rooms.  We have just about everything put away now.  I am going to have Ryan help me hang some art tonight.   We just have a few things left in our storage shed to get and then we will be completely done.

They finished painting our house this week.  I think it looks really nice.  I was thinking the main home color would be more of a smokey gray blue but it is pretty bright.  It looks okay though with all the other colors.  Everything blends well I think.   There are so many houses going up around us right now.  It will be so nice when all of them are done and we don't have to listen to banging during the day.   I am excited to get to know all our new neighbors this summer when everyone is moved in.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day this year.  Ryan and I didn't go out but we did get each other a few gifts.  He really spoiled me this year with some black and white diamond hoop earrings and matching crossed hearts ring.   He also got me some really great smelling perfume by True Religion.  I got him some cologne and a new PS3 game.  Lydia got Daddy a card and a small box of chocolates but she ended up eating all his chocolates.. lol    Mom & Dad had the all the grandkids over to their house yesterday for a little Valentine's party.  It was so cute, all decorated with balloons.  She had the table pink and red with plates, balloons and little valentines for each child.  Then she had a cupcake tree with cupcakes made for them.  They had a ball.  What a nice memory it will be.




I cannot wait for this summer when we will have a nice yard and fence!! Now that we have the house on the lot and can see where our lot lines are I am very excited about the nice size of yard we will have for the kids and dog to play and roam.  We don't have much back yard at all but we have very generous side yards which is also so nice because it gives us a great amount of space between neighbors.  The closest neighbors will be behind our back yard area.

We got our dining room table in last week.  We LOVE it!  It is so great having all the family meals together around the table.  It matches perfectly with our kitchen and the hutch we already had.  It also fits great in the space we have.
